TOR!!!!!
Just a short blog post but I’m really loving the old republic right now it needs some engine tweaks but it’s probably one of the most entertaining MMOs I’ve playing in a while.
If you’re on the fence about it because of it’s price look at it this way. You are getting a game that has a moral choice for almost all the quests which works the same as the single player games. This gives you access to specific gear for the side you finally choose to be on. On top of that all the quests and content is voiced no pointless text based quest pick ups that you know you never read in the first place. Finally it’s fricking star wars lightsabers and that classic pew pew and woom sound going on all over the place. Yes I’m sad :P for sound effects but come on it just makes the game when you hear 2 lightsabers clash together :D.
In short £45 for all that is worth it.

What have I been up to Christmas and New Years.
Well like my last post I returned to minecraft and I’ve found my love for it again probably one of the most creative games you can honestly play. Almost anything is possible in that game. I will try and record a video of all the things I’ve currently built.
On top of all that I’ve been reading on my kindle app and just started learning C++ I’m not sure in what direction I want to take this but if I can get to a level of understand were I can start writing my own little programs and games we will see.
On a personal note due to my mental health problems I’ve had such a big step back I’ve had a hard time dealling with a lot of things and just last week I got a call to tell me my benefits are to be cut. They said I scored no points in the mental health section of the application which everyone right down to my clinical psychiatric nurse knows is bullshit. So 2012 didn’t start all that great for me.
Just trying to keep busy listening to music as much as I can to block out my own thoughts so I can get some programming done and have some fun even if it’s just for an hour.
Hope everyone had a better start to their new year.
this image pretty much sums up how I feel right now.

Made this as a lol to the OMG Trampoline video.
Minecrafting back in action
After listening to one of my gaming related podcast recently it’s really inspired me to get back into playing this game. I had spent a lot of time on a great server Aperture Games: Minecraft. It was a good server but it’s fault lied with the people that ran it.
Listening to the podcast though reminded me what makes this game so much fun to play. My first major build in the game is going to remake Whiterun from Skyrim in Minecraft probably in creative. Not that I don’t mind playing survival just it’s a pain in the ass getting the resources on such a big project.
First thing to do though is take aerial screens of whiterun so I can plan the layout in Minecraft. This will no doubt take some time to build but minecraft is like a hobby to me so will post updates as I progress.
For the time being watch this video this is probably my best creation while on AG:MC

When I have kids they will not be allowed to watch modern cartoons(MLP excluded), I will make sure they only watch shows from the 80’s and 90’s, because those were the best cartoons.
this is so true and I definitely feel the same.

Dead Space 2
Back when it came out on console I have to admit I didn’t really take to it. I love the first one and how it played it out. The second though left me wanting more. Since I bought it for my PC I’ve been replaying it and surprisingly enjoying it more. Though it still doesn’t live up to the first playing it again this time with a decent control system (Mouse and Keyboard) I’m enjoying it much more.
I will still say this though the multi-player is such an under-rated gem that gets a lot of flake as some sort of tacked on experience. Play the Multi-Player with a few friends and you will see how much fun you can honestly have. Back on the 360 me and few friends would all go the third creature which we dubbed the windmill as you would do an attack twinging your arms around and around. Its just the little things that make the multi-player great fun to play.
Back onto the single player now that I’m playing it again on my PC I’m finding it a much more intense and intimate experience. Playing it on the 360 and sitting back on the couch it just doesn’t draw me in as much. The PC gets a lot of flack nowadays by console gamers and the media calling it dead and so on. As I use steam, and play my games through it’s apparent to me who use to be one of those console gamers the PC is the true king of gaming. Playing games on my PC I’m finding I get more involved than before I get sucked in more. Given this is just my opinion but I feel it’s just the little things like sitting closer to the screen the control scheme being better which takes away the barriers as you play.
Don’t get me wrong I love controllers but they are always so fiddly when it comes to aiming or doing anything precise. To me that simple little thing takes the immersion away from me. This is why I think I’m enjoying dead space 2 more on PC. I don’t feel there are barriers stopping me from engaging in the game. I’m looking forward to finally seeing the end to this game as I pretty much gave up playing it on the 360.

Skyrim timelines
I did a few images a few weeks back when I was playing skyrim heavily.

tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?
my celtic ring my girlfriend got me. I look at it and it always reminds me of her.
What have I been doing as a gamer of late. Lets go all the way back to dark souls. Such an amazing experience from start to finish it was what I needed to get me into RPGs fully again. I then went onto uncharted 3 which blew me away as always with it’s graphics and intense movie like story. It was sadly too short for me and I did have my complaints but over all it was a great game to play.
I also had batman AC which technically I only just started and there is a reason I haven’t went back to it yet and that reason is called Skyrim. Elder Scroll 5 Skyrim probably my game of this generation. Bethesda finally done it they managed to take all the good things from their previous games and create something special. I’ve put 50+ hours into this game and I’ve still not touched the surfice. There is just so much to do and so many nice little story archs from guilds to just some random person needing help. If you are looking for an RPG to get sucked right into then Skyrim is the game for you.
To top it all off it’s now the steam sales that crazy time were gamers log on and noticed they are practically giving games away. This is what I love about steam they don’t screw you over with price. This is also why I love PC gaming over console gaming. Steam to me is by far the best service any gamer would want. It offers everything console services do but actually doesn’t screw you over with stupidly high prices or Unlock codes just to play on-line.
I’ve just bought myself Dead Space 2 for £9.99, Portal 2 for £6 and the complete GTA pack from the very first game right up to the latest all for the tidy sum of £4.99. When would you ever see such a deal on consoles ?
That brings me up to speed as to what I’m playing right now got to go skyrim calls.
God I love the new 52 dc comics currently read Batman and nightwing and they’ve both started out very strong. Also tried another called Geoffrey very good story with a lot of posibilitys. Grifter is about some special ops guy who seems to have the ability to see the aliens that take human form. This take turn for the worst as the news report him as a terrorist and extremely dangerous. Great stuff since I’m new to American comics and the fact dc made the decision to reset things was great for me. If you haven’t already grab them off comixology or your local comic book store.
Just finished reading the first 2 new issues of Batman and have to say excellent stuff. Very gritty almost like the movies with the comixology app its like watching an animated episode while reading. If you’ve not grabbed any of the new 52 dc comics you should download some from comixology or go to your local comic book store and grab a few issues there. Great stuff will definitely get more when i can.
